Bespoke Offers case study

Bespoke Offers

Bespoke Offers is the product of Barclaycard that offers tailored daily deals to consumers based on their preferences.

Highlights

Bespoke Offers a marketplace for connecting subscribers with local merchants. It offers tailored discounts on products and services such as travel, fashion, food, electrical goods, etc. to Barclays and Barclaycard customers, and also to anyone who wishes to avail of the offer. It also features a discount pricing tool "Beat My Price" which negotiates a better deal on products users want to purchase online.

As a UX Designer, I recreated and redesigned the desktop website to mobile-first. I studied the website structure to improve the overall user experience, created process flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces and optimised the website performance. In addition to design and front-end work, I learnt Ruby on Rails to replace legacy code with semantic markup.

The incremental approach was taken to replace views while maintaining the existing functionality. The project observed zero downtime during the transition period and was highly appraised by the senior management.
